SNMP traps continue to be sent after being disabled

Versions Affected:

3.4.0 to current

Symptoms:

In groov Manage, if you disable SNMP (from the groov Manage I/O Services page, click SNMP > Disable), the groov EPIC processor or groov RIO module should stop sending SNMP traps. With this issue, it continues to send SNMP traps.

Workaround:

Write 0 to the Enable field of the OptoMMP memory map of each Event message to disable SNMP traps.

Event Message 0: 0xF120 0024
Event Message 1: 0xf120 00E4
....
Event Message 127: 0xF120 5F64

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
