OPC UA tags with Number type are selectable in Build mode, but report type error in View mode

  • GROOV-AT1, GROOV-AT1-SNAP

Versions Affected:

For groov EPIC processors: 3.4.0 to 3.4.1
For all other part numbers: 4.4a

Resolved In Version:

For groov EPIC processors: 3.4.2
For all other part numbers: 4.4b


Symptoms:

In groov View, after successfully assigning an OPC UA tag of type Number to a gadget in Build mode, when you switch to View mode, that gadget displays a yellow triangle. When you click on the yellow triangle, groov View displays a message similar to the following:

The gadget's tag is a different data type than what the server or device provided.
Details: The string is configured as a FLOAT64, but the type returned from the server is class java.lang.Integer.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
