API communication failures after upgrading to groov EPIC firmware version 3.5.0

Versions Affected:

For groov EPICs and groov RIOs: 3.5.0 or higher

Symptoms:

NOTE: This KB article is for informational purposes. This issue is not a defect in groov EPIC firmware.

If, after applying version 3.5.0 or higher of groov EPIC firmware, your application's API calls to groov Manage, groov View, or Node-RED begin to fail, your application may be: running versions 1.0 or 1.1 of TLS, which are unsupported.

Workaround:

Update your application to use version 1.2 of TLS.
