Cannot disable SNMP port on SNAP-B3000-ENET

Symptoms:

Note: This KB is for information only. This product is obsolete; new firmware will not be released.

Disabling the SNMP port on a SNAP-B3000-ENET by setting the port to 0 doesn’t work; the port returns to 161 after reboot.

Workaround:

Inspect the brain with PAC Manager.
Navigate to Communications > SNMP.
Set Community 0 - Read to "No." Do the same for all other "Community" entries.
Set Community 0 - Write to "No." Do the same for all other "Community" entries.
Navigate to the Status Write page.
Select "Store configuration to flash."
Click Send Command.
Select "Restart Device from powerup."
Click Send Command.
