The “Subtype / Feature” column in PAC Control may display incorrect channel information for groov modules after changing the module type

Applies To:

PAC Control Professional
PAC Control Basic

Versions Affected:

R10.0a to current

Symptoms:

After changing the type of a configured groov module in PAC Control Configure mode (for example, when you added a GRV-ODCI-12 module, clicked the checkbox to auto-add the channels, and then changed the module type to GRV-ODCIS-12), you may encounter any of the following:

  • The Subtype / Feature column of the Configure I/O Modules and Points window displays the incorrect channel type values of one or more channels
  • One or more channels is incorrectly configured
  • A “type mismatch” error is posted to the controller’s message queue after downloading the strategy to the controller

Workaround:

Manually edit the affected channels and save your changes.
