Inductive Automation’s Ignition may stop updating data on groov EPIC processors and groov RIO modules

Firmware for the following groov devices running Ignition 8.1.10 to 8.1.21:

GRV-EPIC-PR2
GRV-R7-MM2001-10

Versions Affected:

groov EPIC firmware: 3.3.0 to 3.6.0
groov RIO firmware: 3.3.0 to 3.6.1

Resolved In Version:

groov EPIC firmware: 4.0.0
groov RIO firmware: 4.0.0

Symptoms:

On rare occasions, Inductive Automation^®’s Ignition^® Gateway may stop updating data on a groov EPIC processor or a groov RIO module running Ignition versions 8.1.10 to 8.1.21. Additionally, the Ignition log files may contain repetitive entries similar to:

INFO | jvm 1 | 2022/11/28 18:25:00 | at java.base/java.util.concurrent.!LinkedBlockingQueue.dequeue(Unknown Source)

Workaround:

Restart the Ignition Gateway. For instructions, see the Ignition User Manual.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
