ENET2 disabled after firmware update

Applies To:

PAC Manager, when used with the following SNAP PAC R-series controllers:

SNAP-PAC-R1, SNAP-PAC-R1-FM, SNAP-PAC-R1-W, SNAP-PAC-R1-B
SNAP-PAC-R2, SNAP-PAC-R2-FM, SNAP-PAC-R2-W

Versions Affected:

R10.3a to R10.5c

Resolved In Version:

R10.6a

Symptoms:

After installing firmware on an R-series controller that had ENET2 configured and operating, ENET2 is disabled. (If you can physically look at the controller, you will notice that the indicator lights are off.)

Workaround:

After installing firmware, restart your R-series controller by either of these methods:

In PAC Manager, send the Restart Device from powerup command (found in the Status Write > Operation dropdown list of the Inspect Opto 22 Device window) through the ENET1 interface.
Cycle power.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue.
