Switching between redundant Ethernet links may cause all digital output channels on a groov I/O module to turn on

Applies To:

Firmware for the following groov EPIC processors:

  • GRV-EPIC-PR1
  • GRV-EPIC-PR2
Firmware for the following SNAP PAC controllers:
  • SNAP-PAC-S1
  • SNAP-PAC-S1-FM
  • SNAP-PAC-S1-W
  • SNAP-PAC-S2
  • SNAP-PAC-S2-W
  • SNAP-PAC-R1
  • SNAP-PAC-R1-FM
  • SNAP-PAC-R1-W
  • SNAP-PAC-R1-B
  • SNAP-PAC-R2
  • SNAP-PAC-R2-FM
  • SNAP-PAC-R2-W
  • SoftPAC

Versions Affected:

For groov EPICs: All versions prior to 4.1.0
For SNAP PACs: R10.4e to R10.6a

Resolved In Version:

For groov EPICs: 4.1.0
For SNAP PACs: R10.6b

Symptoms:

If your PAC Control strategy periodically turns on a digital output channel on a groov I/O module, and you have redundant Ethernet links (only available with PAC Control Professional) between an affected processor/controller and the EPIC with the groov I/O module, switching from the active network to the alternate network may cause all digital channels of the module to turn on.
