PAC Manager firmware update process may fail for devices with poor network connections
Versions Affected:
R9.5a to current
Symptoms:
When updating firmware on any of the following devices over a high-latency network connection (such as radio modems), the firmware update may fail with an error message in PAC Manager indicating that the device does not have enough memory while attempting to load a bridge firmware file:
- SNAP-PAC-S1 or S2
- SNAP-PAC-R1 (GEN2)
- SNAP-PAC-EB1 or EB2
Workaround:
Bypass the poor network connection by connecting a computer running PAC Manager directly to the device.
Resolution:
Opto 22 is investigating this issue.
