Hi, in this groov Workshop, I’ll show you
how to restore your groov Box to it’s factory
00:10
state. If you need to set your GROOV-AR1 back
to factory defaults, you’ll find step-by-step
00:16
instructions in the groov Box User’s guide,
in groov Build under Help. This process will
00:23
restore default network settings and erase
all data, including your project and passwords.
00:29
First, turn off the groov Box by pressing
the power button briefly. Make sure it’s
00:35
still plugged in and receiving power. Now,
I’ll press and hold the power button again
00:40
for about 8 seconds, until SYS LED starts
blinking red and green, which indicates that
00:47
your groov Box is in the process of resetting
itself back to factory defaults. Once the
00:52
LED starts flashing, take your finger off
the power button. There it goes. This process
00:57
will take several minutes, and your AR1 will
turn itself off when finished. Do not remove
01:03
power from the groov Box or turn it off during
this process, while it’s blinking red and
01:08
green. Otherwise, you’ll have to start over.
When you turn your groov Box back on, by briefly
01:15
pressing the button firmly one more time,
you won’t need to re-activate, but you may
01:20
need to re-apply any licenses if applicable.
You’ll also need to apply any updates to
01:25
groov App {or groov Admin} that may have been
released since your groov Box left the factory.
01:32
After you give the Box a few minutes to restart,
you can re-connect to it, which will prompt
01:36
you to create a new groov Box admin account.
See the groov Box User’s guide, in groov
01:42
Build under Help, for more information. And
remember, product support is always free.
