00:00
hello everyone and thank you for joining
00:01
us today for the first in a series of
00:03
opto webinars on why group epoch was
00:06
developed and what problems that can
00:08
help solve for you when you're
00:09
automation controls an industrial
00:12
Internet of Things applications my name
00:14
is Benson Hoagland and I'll be your
00:16
moderator for today's webinar joining me
00:18
in studio are garret Reichert and Kyle
00:21
Orman two of our senior application
00:23
engineers who help customers every day
00:25
applying up to 22 products to solve
00:27
automation problems Garrett and Kyle
00:30
welcome please tell your audience a
00:31
little bit about yourselves yeah Thank
00:34
You Benson my name is Kyle Orman I've
00:36
been here at op to a few years and I've
00:37
been in automation and controls for more
00:40
than 10 years now whether that's
00:41
commissioning testing and designing
00:44
units
00:45
I'm Gary Gregory I'm new to opto but not
00:48
new to automation been doing it a long
00:49
time and I'm excited to talk to you
00:51
today about why epic should be your next
00:55
install terrific thanks guys ok we got a
00:58
lot to cover the next 40 or so minutes
01:00
and we'll start by telling you a little
01:01
bit about opto followed by the problems
01:04
we see with existing systems today then
01:06
we'll provide a hands-on look at the
01:08
groove epic hardware followed by a live
01:10
demo of the groove managed software
01:12
which will illustrate just how easy it
01:14
is to work with epic now for those of
01:18
you viewing this webinar that are new to
01:19
opto 22 here's a brief overview we're a
01:22
california-based privately held
01:24
industrial automation manufacturer and
01:26
software developer with over four
01:28
decades of experience and thousands of
01:30
customers all over the world our
01:32
products range from simple solid state
01:34
relays to versatile industrial Internet
01:36
of Things systems now we've earned a
01:38
reputation in our industry for highly
01:41
reliable mission-critical solutions
01:43
backed by exceptional warranties and
01:45
top-shelf support but what makes us
01:48
unique is our engineering philosophy for
01:50
combining technologies from both IT and
01:53
OT into an affordable and capable system
01:56
that can be applied to your projects
01:58
saving time money and effort now over
02:00
the years we've amassed a huge list of
02:02
customers both large and small from all
02:05
over the globe in many different
02:06
industries in the industries we serve
02:08
are very broad from manufacturing to
02:11
process control to buildings
02:13
Tilly's even water/wastewater and of
02:16
course OAM equipment and our customers
02:19
love our open architecture approach with
02:21
our products and especially love our
02:24
free support with plenty of tools
02:25
documents software services and more all
02:29
at no additional charge and our
02:32
customers also benefit from a recently
02:34
launched opto training portal offering
02:36
this has free online training any time a
02:39
day or night on most of our products
02:40
including the groov epic we'll be
02:43
showing you today so let's get to the
02:45
meat of this webinar why did we develop
02:47
groov epic well the short answer is the
02:50
complexity cost and maintainability of
02:52
the existing systems you find today
02:54
these old systems are just too difficult
02:56
to put together and so much time is
02:59
spent trying to get them configured
03:00
commissioned and placed online all while
03:03
continuously dealing with major
03:05
roadblocks like networking security
03:07
software licenses pcs and much more
03:11
indeed we wanted to build a system that
03:13
is simpler more secure and much easier
03:16
to build deploy and maintain than
03:19
anything else on the market and I think
03:21
we've done it and here to tell you all
03:23
about it is Jarek and Kyle to actually
03:25
show you how cool the new group epic
03:28
system is and why it'll help you and
03:30
your applications now I'll pass the
03:32
presentation control over to Garrett and
03:33
Kyle where these two will demonstrate
03:35
groov epic lives all right Thank You
03:39
Benson the first thing we're gonna do is
03:41
step through some of the hardware for
03:42
groov epic and show you why we added
03:45
some cool new features yeah we'll start
03:48
with the chassis it is a slot chassis
03:50
system comes in 4 8 or 16 slots it is
03:55
stainless steel din rail mountable so
03:58
it'll go right in your panel there's
03:59
snap right in place real nice Jessi
04:01
there standard power supply here on/off
04:05
switch it's fused nice plug comes in
04:08
ac/dc and a 12 volt pass-through power
04:12
supply so suited for any application you
04:15
might have but pride and joy here's the
04:17
controller it's like a controller and a
04:20
smartphone combined it's got a full
04:22
color touchscreen hinge door that opens
04:25
and as you can see more of the features
04:26
in here
04:27
it is a dual Gigabit Ethernet solution
04:31
there they're isolated as well two USB
04:34
ports you could use those to plug in say
04:37
a mouse keyboard a USB to serial device
04:40
or a nice little Wi-Fi dongle like this
04:43
to give you Wi-Fi right out of your
04:44
controller it also has a built-in HDMI
04:48
port that you could use to cast
04:51
externally to a monitor so when you hide
04:53
this in the panel you can see all your
04:54
screens and everything without having to
04:56
open the door we've got a full sweep I
04:59
Oh digital analog specialty including
05:02
the serial module it's a hinged cover
05:05
it's really good
05:06
light up LEDs on front there so let's
05:09
put this thing together here real quick
05:10
so we'll start with getting our chassis
05:19
Casias part snaps into place and it's
05:22
held in place by a single screw so with
05:30
that single screw you can take modules
05:33
in and out very easily there even hot
05:35
swappable will show you how that works
05:37
in just a minute
05:38
it's also a hinged cover here with a
05:42
nice little single connector they're all
05:44
the same so it's a twenty four twenty
05:46
six point connector snaps right in and
05:49
you can close the lid right well as you
05:53
see we can't close the lid here but
05:54
we've thought of that we hinge the cover
05:57
slotted it so I can hinge out so you can
05:59
hide that wiring if you use bulky wire
06:01
the chassis and PLC system is a class
06:06
one live two rated and the temperature
06:08
rating is negative 22 70 C so this thing
06:11
can take a lot of abuse and keep on
06:12
tickin yeah that's even even for the
06:15
touchscreen mm-hmm alright so yeah thank
06:18
you Garrick we're also going to show you
06:21
you know what it's like to actually use
06:23
a group epoch so you see what the
06:25
hardware looks like over here I think
06:26
you can see the touch screen and how
06:30
great this whole thing looks and I'm
06:31
gonna log right in so anytime you
06:35
connect to a group epoch in any way it's
06:39
going to ask for a username and a
06:40
password
06:43
so what that means is it's a secure
06:47
connection so if someone can't just walk
06:51
up and fiddle with anything you know
06:54
mess up into your settings and your
06:55
configuration is directly from the
06:56
touchscreen they need that username and
06:58
password to access these things mm-hmm
07:00
so you saw how I how I use a touchscreen
07:02
to log in and if you set up a new group
07:04
epoch the first thing it's going to ask
07:06
you to do is create that username and
07:07
password and then the next thing that
07:09
that you're gonna do which all of us are
07:11
familiar with you know the past 15 years
07:13
or so we've been using the ethernet
07:15
based controllers is the IP address and
07:17
neck that can be a nightmare depending
07:19
on the product but definitely not with
07:20
groov epic let's go to system and
07:22
network here oh yeah it can be a pain in
07:25
the behind when you do it with some
07:26
platform yeah with it yeah so you'll
07:29
have to use you know bootp is is a
07:31
popular one or maybe it has a default IP
07:33
address you have to look up in a manual
07:35
you might need online internet access
07:37
you know pull up that manual but but
07:40
with groov epic it works by DHCP so that
07:43
means that when you plug it into your
07:44
your Ethernet network at your your work
07:47
or your office wherever it's going to be
07:49
automatically assigned an IP address in
07:50
the IT department likes that that's how
07:52
a lot of devices on the network work and
07:54
but that's not how a lot of controllers
07:56
work so so that's a that's a nice
07:58
connection IT that they'll like yeah it
08:01
kind of bridges that gap between ot an
08:03
ID a little more makes it a little more
08:04
friendly for the IT department to get
08:08
him get on board with using these yeah
08:10
so so you can see on the front of the
08:11
controller here it's been given an IP
08:14
address that through DHCP because we had
08:16
that Ethernet Ethernet zero out of the
08:19
box comes a DHCP capable but um Ethernet
08:22
one there while it's disconnected
08:24
there's nothing connected you can see
08:26
the method there is static so if I go
08:28
under configure you can see that it's
08:29
set up for a static IP which a lot of us
08:32
are very familiar with that's how a lot
08:33
of lot of control systems set up so you
08:35
might use Ethernet port 0 on your IT
08:37
network just to have an IP address I
08:39
matically assigned by your IT department
08:41
and then Ethernet one to go out to your
08:45
control network to talk to other devices
08:48
that have to have that static IP network
08:50
that you've set up yourself so those are
08:53
completely isolated but
08:55
Groo Bewick's going to talk to both of
08:56
them and then there's even another
08:57
option where you can use a Wi-Fi dongle
08:59
you can see here that I've set up a
09:02
Wi-Fi connection which is this down
09:06
right here the same one that garrix
09:08
holding in his hand and I've set it up
09:11
actually to connect to the hotspot on my
09:13
phone so there's a lot of features on
09:16
groov epic that may require this
09:20
especially no dread you know you want
09:22
that outbound internet connection to
09:23
download new nodes to make it you know
09:26
more functional and add a lot of great
09:28
things to it and you need that outbound
09:30
internet access but if so if you're in a
09:32
place where you don't have that maybe
09:34
you don't even have it through your IT
09:35
department you can temporarily connect
09:37
it to a hotspot on your phone go out and
09:39
download those files that you need
09:40
because they're not real big and no red
09:42
no red note is it's not it's not an
09:45
enormous file to download so it's
09:46
totally reasonable to do it over a
09:48
hotspot and and then from there now your
09:51
controller has out binary on access
09:53
you're going to do those updates
09:54
download those things you need to do and
09:56
then you can just disconnect it and walk
09:57
away and you're still going to be on
09:59
your your you know your DHCP or your
10:01
manual setup and and have that
10:04
disconnected so a lot a lot of great
10:06
networking features that make everything
10:08
easier so um you seen how great the
10:12
touch screen works login set up a
10:14
username and password and and then also
10:17
set up your I your IT network for it so
10:20
I'm gonna jump over my browser to show
10:22
you our groove manager looks like
10:24
there's one other thing I'd like to
10:26
mention there is the hostname Oh
10:28
host name not just IP address so as
10:31
you'll see when Kyle is on the browser
10:33
he will type in the host name of it
10:35
instead of the IP address yeah Thank You
10:37
Jarek I skipped over that part so with
10:40
that DHCP the IP address is assigned but
10:43
we also have a host name here so that
10:45
means that we can connect by just the
10:47
name of the controller which is what one
10:49
thing you're gonna you're going to want
10:50
to do if you're capable of doing that
10:53
through your network because it makes
10:54
things a lot easier so now now I am
10:57
going to switch over my browser and
10:58
connect to it via the host name so here
11:00
we are at the opto 22 homepage and I'm
11:03
going to go to a HTTP
11:07
I see that s there so we're using a
11:11
secure login they're encrypted so
11:13
another level of security along with
11:15
having a username and a role given out
11:18
with the password right every every
11:20
connection to epic is is encrypted so
11:22
you're always going to go over HTTP so
11:27
again the same username and password I
11:28
used to log in to the front of the
11:32
touchscreen I used to log in through the
11:33
host name through its Google Chrome here
11:36
on a web browser so you've seen the same
11:37
screen from groov manage access to a lot
11:40
of the same information mm-hmm can
11:43
access any device on my tablet
11:44
smartphone the front of the panel any PC
11:47
because it's all browser-based and I
11:51
mentioned that that user name and
11:53
password a few times so under accounts
11:55
it's where where that's setup you can
11:58
see that that there's a system-wide
12:00
administrator account setup that's the
12:01
first one hero is going to set up but
12:03
there's also other types of accounts you
12:05
can set up to do different things
12:07
there's an operator account here and I'm
12:09
gonna go ahead and go ahead and add
12:10
another one so I'm going to call this
12:14
one kiosk account because a kiosk is one
12:18
of the one of the settings that you can
12:20
set up for a user so you might you might
12:22
want to set out a group epoch it may be
12:24
connected to an HDMI touch screen that
12:27
people just look at information they
12:29
want they want to collect information
12:30
but you don't want them to change
12:31
anything so you could set up a kiosk
12:33
account you go down here to groove you
12:37
and you make it just a kiosk user so now
12:39
all I can do is see see the groove view
12:40
pages and that's it they can switch from
12:42
one page to the next but they can
12:43
actually change any information all the
12:47
different roles we have from editor
12:49
operator kiosk and none suppose you dole
12:54
out your permissions to users as you see
12:56
them some people would need to be
12:57
editing some people will just need to be
12:59
able to operate the view screens and not
13:01
make any changes and the kiosk or they
13:03
you just look at a nice public clean
13:05
terminal anyone can see but they can't
13:08
actually write so and that's it's not
13:11
just for group view as for node-red the
13:13
the REST API and all the different
13:17
pieces and parts you can access in a
13:19
groove epic you can set up different
13:20
users and there
13:21
we're mints so they're just set up oh I
13:27
gotta type it you gotta type it in twice
13:29
the first time there we go
13:31
sorry so I've set up two users now I
13:34
have a kiosk an operator and then a
13:36
system admin user that has access to the
13:39
entire system and we can do a lot of
13:41
different things with there's also
13:43
underneath there was a email so you
13:45
could type in an email and tie that to a
13:46
user account and use that to send alerts
13:49
and everything via email or text so you
13:52
have their phone around you can have
13:54
real-time response to all your alerts
13:56
and help troubleshooting help you get to
13:58
the problem quicker see what the problem
14:00
is and generally just it up will dive in
14:03
that groove you webinar we set up as
14:05
alerts in those email notifications yeah
14:08
so some some more information that we
14:11
have built into groov here I'm going to
14:13
info and help and then documentation so
14:16
there's a lot of documents that we come
14:18
installed on grooves so these are links
14:20
here which make you think it's going out
14:22
to the Internet I'm gonna click on the
14:23
product guide and you see it opens up
14:26
that PDF file but that's actually from
14:28
the file system on the groove so it's
14:30
not not going out to the internet you
14:32
don't have to download this from
14:34
anywhere right here on the groove
14:36
through just a browser connected you can
14:38
see all the information about group beta
14:40
that is available on our website as well
14:43
yeah I see it also contains all the i/o
14:45
the analog digital specialty all the
14:49
data sheets great for troubleshooting
14:51
pull them right up on the front of the
14:53
panel from any web browser you don't
14:55
need to be looking for on a web site to
14:57
try and find the manual because you lost
14:58
it or printing it out and keeping them
15:01
in a dirty panel that you know gets oil
15:03
and grease and you can't see it so this
15:05
is right here one-stop shop for you
15:06
right right and so I mean you can
15:10
imagine how useful those files might be
15:12
you know anytime that anytime you're
15:15
accessing the system they're all right
15:16
there for you another feature we have
15:20
under that info and help is our opto
15:22
support it's a secure and initiated
15:27
system for us to log in and help you
15:30
troubleshoot your system is for having
15:31
problems see the client and
15:35
and they will click to create RSC it
15:38
will generate a one-time token that we
15:40
can then use to remote in and it's like
15:42
being right on your machine helps us for
15:44
troubleshooting gets you back up and
15:45
running ASAP because we no downtime it's
15:48
a killer in the plant and then the we on
15:51
level to get those machines out the door
15:53
so this helps us troubleshoot your in
15:55
without having to go through a back and
15:57
forth email exchange with some
15:58
screenshots and questionable your
16:01
questions like we just can't you know
16:03
aren't really getting to the point we
16:04
can get right on to do it and then when
16:06
it's done you close it and we have no
16:08
way to get back in completely secure and
16:10
get a hold of myself or Kyle or some of
16:14
our product support team they can also
16:15
help you with this and it's really easy
16:17
to use from our end you just initialize
16:19
the connection and and we accept it and
16:22
then and now we're connected your
16:24
controller and we can see everything
16:25
that you see which saves a lot of time
16:27
and also can if you're not as confident
16:30
with what you're doing or maybe some of
16:31
the less skilled users they can get that
16:33
that detailed products or right away so
16:38
that that's some of the stuff that's
16:39
built into groov that already comes on
16:41
there but you might want to put some of
16:42
your your own information on there
16:44
so I'm in here in the in the systems
16:46
area of groov manage and go to files so
16:49
you can see there's secured and
16:51
unsecured files that are accessed by the
16:53
different pieces of software that are
16:55
installed in group epoch and in the
16:58
unsecured files here which is if you
17:00
were to read and write some files from
17:03
your control engine for example you
17:05
might you might add some things here and
17:07
we have a we have a few files saved to
17:09
this controller so what that means is
17:13
this readme text for example is just a
17:16
text file that's saved here on the
17:18
controller and I can open right there in
17:20
the web browser now in this and this
17:23
comes with no files and so on at all you
17:25
can put your own things on there yeah
17:27
any documentation you might have your
17:29
panel drawings P and IDs anything that
17:32
you need that'll help troubleshoot you
17:34
know and you're not having to dig for
17:36
files and dig for drawings that are
17:38
printed out you got it you can get it
17:39
right here access it open it there up
17:42
eight new ones add new ones and really
17:45
gives you a great tool to help
17:48
troubleshoot
17:49
and just keep your efficiency up when
17:50
you're working and even through your
17:52
like for example impact control you can
17:55
write to a file so you could come to
17:57
this area here and open up a log that
17:59
you're saving from from your control
18:01
engine to see see what's happening where
18:02
if that's something you want to review
18:04
and you can even download it do whatever
18:05
you need to it from there oh another
18:10
useful thing for that cut sheet yeah
18:12
having building panels and stuffing
18:15
every cut sheet for every part you have
18:16
in that panel pocket it's a little bulky
18:18
yeah when I do integration we would have
18:20
binders that literally thousand plus
18:23
pages of cut sheets and you could put
18:25
one large PDF file on there all this
18:28
basics nobody ever looks you can and
18:33
make sure that they're covered now that
18:35
we have all those files code in the
18:37
system settings we've set up we need to
18:39
back these things up so what's going to
18:41
maintenance and let's do a backup as you
18:43
can see the backup is got everything we
18:46
can pick and choose or we can back it
18:47
all up at once so that allows us to be
18:49
very flexible with what we want to
18:51
backup with how we want to back it up
18:53
and everything so then you can just
18:54
download the backup real easy and then
18:56
after you know you do your you do your
18:59
update or bid you have an outage and
19:01
something goes wrong and you need to
19:02
restore it you just click in restore it
19:04
and you can do the same thing you can
19:06
restore it piecemeal or you can restore
19:08
it all at once that's a real handy
19:10
feature for picking and choosing what
19:12
you need because maybe you just made a
19:13
change to your networking broke it no
19:16
you had the correct one you don't want
19:18
to backup every or you don't to restore
19:19
everything else you can just pick that
19:20
boom so another quick way to itemize and
19:24
solve these little problems here that
19:25
sometimes with other other systems can
19:27
take hours to do yeah so and it comes
19:31
out as a zip file and so not just
19:34
something catastrophic if you're copying
19:35
a system if you're an OEM and you have
19:37
you know these replicated groove epic
19:39
systems it's it's easy to to make them
19:42
all the same so the some other some
19:48
other things you can access some groove
19:49
managed here one of them is the control
19:51
engine you can look at the serial
19:52
devices some will go down here cuz
19:54
serial devices you can see that it's not
19:56
one connected but like we said that
19:59
modules are completely hot swappable
20:02
so I took out that that digital module
20:05
and I'm gonna put in a serial module why
20:07
the controllers running sees a lot of go
20:10
red really all the lights flash now it's
20:12
blue so we have a serial module
20:14
connected and I did manage instantly
20:20
picked it up port numbers of the device
20:23
address there so if you need to access
20:24
it be anything else in your screen yep
20:28
so it's on your control strategy and no
20:30
dread or wherever you're using these
20:32
sara module set and that's where you're
20:33
going to get that information so now
20:35
that we've connected the zero module
20:37
here you can see that it popped up on
20:38
the front of the touchscreen and it's
20:40
also blinking they tell you that's a
20:41
module you've had selected I'm gonna go
20:42
the white screen so you can see that a
20:44
little bit better so now we're on the
20:47
front of the group epoch and we're
20:49
pulling up module information about the
20:51
serial module we just connected now if
20:53
we want to know something about a
20:54
different module all we have to do now
20:56
just press the touch sensitive buttons
20:57
at the top and you can get right in you
20:59
can see live data of what's going on
21:01
click on the information tab there and
21:03
it'll show you the drawings a wiring
21:05
diagram for it for just that card so
21:08
you'll know how to hook it up and then
21:09
there's the specifications and details
21:11
of it yeah and then the wiring diagram
21:13
suspects all that stuff's useful for
21:15
wiring for example you can see exactly
21:17
how your device whatever it is is
21:19
supposed to connect to those spring
21:21
clamp terminals that are right there on
21:22
the front of the module and from specs
21:25
again those documentation it's already
21:27
saved on the controller we can look at
21:30
that information for every module we
21:31
have connected right right here in the
21:32
front of the touch screen and go all the
21:35
way to the bottom here and you can see
21:36
those agency approvals that are really
21:38
important to some industries whether
21:40
that's class 1 div 2 or 8x but also
21:43
there is a warranty so this module is a
21:46
lifetime warranty as to almost all the
21:48
i/o modules for groov epic so that's
21:51
really great we you know it's a brand
21:53
new product right out of the box
21:55
guaranteed for life it's easy for us to
21:57
say because they don't really feel very
21:59
often oh yeah very reliable we've got
22:01
old hard out in the field that we just
22:03
get calls about now yeah yeah exactly so
22:07
um yeah we don't expect to hear here
22:09
many of those warranty calls so it's
22:10
easy for us to say but gives you some
22:12
you know some confidence that it's going
22:14
to last quite a while
22:16
and you can tell which card we have
22:17
selected because the blue light for that
22:18
card is blinking so as you cycle through
22:20
the cards the light which card is
22:22
highlighted will be selected there so
22:26
I'm gonna go back to channels here and
22:28
Garrick alluded to this earlier but also
22:30
you can see the name of this channel so
22:33
the panel LED red go back here and press
22:37
this button you can see a little gun on
22:38
the edge there it's turning red and that
22:40
and that outputs turning on so what that
22:44
means is from the front from the front
22:47
right here you can toggle and output on
22:49
or off so I'm gonna go down here to 13
22:52
and we're not using in the control
22:54
strategy at all but I can toggle that
22:56
output point and turn it on so imagine
22:59
how useful that could be from a
23:00
commissioning standpoint if you have a
23:01
system out there in the field
23:02
you're turning things on and off
23:04
typically you would have to have a
23:06
laptop connected you know and go in
23:09
there and turn those bits on and off
23:10
however that that system might do it and
23:12
with groov epic you don't need that at
23:14
all and you can use your cellphone's oh
23:18
yeah you can use your cellphone to
23:19
Commission so we we've sped up that
23:21
process as well so now not only are we
23:24
saving time to do that we could say
23:27
manpower one guy can go on-site to
23:29
Commission something take his cell phone
23:32
pull up the screen right here and I can
23:35
toggle the same things off and on so I
23:37
could walk around by myself in a plant
23:40
floor and toggle all my outputs and
23:42
check all of that wiring from my phone
23:44
like all the inputs I don't need a
23:46
second person and I don't need all the
23:48
time it takes to do that I do by myself
23:50
on the first day because we saw how
23:52
quick we can set this thing up we just
23:54
cut our commissioning time geez
23:57
it was a half but it's more than half
23:59
yeah and also you know a lot of money
24:02
spent commissioning I was a
24:03
commissioning engineer for years and we
24:05
always I would be at the terminal or
24:07
wherever it is we're controlling the
24:08
system from turning things on and off
24:10
beyond a radio with the technician
24:12
walking around to jail to tell when an
24:14
audio output turns on if I had had groov
24:16
epic I could have walked around with my
24:18
cellphone just turned the things on and
24:19
off myself and in save myself that
24:22
manpower that would have been great yeah
24:24
great commissioning tools there you know
24:26
and then you're not sitting on a bucket
24:28
to the corner
24:29
right some guy on a radio trying to get
24:31
this commissioned yeah so there's
24:35
there's a million great features built
24:36
into the the IO portion of groov manage
24:40
you know whether that's system
24:43
information documents all that kind of
24:45
good stuff but groov manage is also a
24:47
window into the system in a lot of other
24:49
ways and one of those ways is through
24:52
groov view so I'm gonna I'm gonna
24:54
actually from the front of this touch
24:56
screen first thing I'm going to do is
24:58
connect the groov view and show you some
25:00
screens there oh there there it's
25:02
launching now so this is going to build
25:06
up some groov view screens we have built
25:07
here for the demo Center and I'm also
25:11
going to share my the big screen here to
25:14
show you how those things are pretty
25:17
much exactly the same yeah it's made for
25:19
mobile it's lightweight so it can
25:21
display really well on mobile as you can
25:23
see from the front of the epic but it
25:25
also since it's browser-based and
25:27
web-based very licensed and shows up
25:30
really well on a PC as well so you can
25:32
see the differences in the screen but
25:34
they are the same yeah so we're looking
25:36
at the touch screen on the front of the
25:39
groov epic has this groov view screen
25:42
for the mobile version which is
25:44
basically a portrait version so to speak
25:46
and then the desktop has your landscape
25:48
version but these are the same screen
25:49
you know interacting at the same time
25:52
I've turned that red LED on and it's
25:54
showing that in both places and the
25:55
lights turning on all that kind of good
25:57
stuff
25:58
speed up or slow down the light rain so
26:02
yeah so so from the from groov manage
26:04
you can go straight into groov view
26:07
you'll notice at the top there there's a
26:10
bunch of extra buttons or that we had
26:11
added are there to highlight the extra
26:13
features that we have within the epic
26:15
system and we'll be covering those in
26:17
depth in future webinars you'll see that
26:19
there's no dread as I say shell access
26:22
so you can pretty much do whatever you
26:23
want to it and make it run right yeah so
26:27
there there's so many features built in
26:28
a groove epic and hopefully we've showed
26:31
you a little bit about the hardware and
26:32
group manage and how to use some of
26:34
those tools and that certainly hasn't
26:35
been comprehensive there's even more
26:37
there that we that we didn't get into
26:39
and we'll show you more of those things
26:42
in future webinars so we're gonna hand
26:44
it back over to Benson and thank you
26:46
everybody for joining us we had a great
26:47
time and look forward to talking to you
26:50
in the future okay Kyle and Garrick that
26:52
was one terrific demo well done it's no
26:55
question that groove epic has a lot of
26:58
capabilities a lot of configuration and
27:00
it's clear by all the presentation
27:03
materials you guys provided in the demos
27:04
that it indeed does solve a lot of
27:06
problems that exist with existing
27:08
systems today so thank you very much for
27:10
showing that and of course I think I can
27:12
speak for everyone that we're very eager
27:13
to participate and view your future
27:16
webinars on all the software
27:18
capabilities of groov epic as well so
27:21
folks stay tuned for more information on
27:23
when the next series of the webinar will
27:25
be available check your email and we
27:29
look forward to presenting more of this
27:30
material over the next several months
27:32
with that we'll sign off on the first of
27:35
a series of webinars on why group epic
27:38
thank you so much for joining us today
27:39
we look forward to presenting more
27:42
materials to you in the future
