The TPO feature on groov digital output modules behaves inconsistently

Applies To:

  • GRV-ODCSRC-24
  • GRV-OAC-12
  • GRV-OACI-12
  • GRV-ODCI-12

Versions Affected:

GRV-ODCSRC-24 R1.0m
GRV-OAC-12 R1.0k
GRV-OACI-12 R1.0k
GRV-ODCI-12 R1.0k

Resolved In Version:

GRV-ODCSRC-24 R1.0n
GRV-OAC-12 R1.0l
GRV-OACI-12 R1.0l
GRV-ODCI-12 R1.0l

Symptoms:

You might see either of the following symptoms:

  • Symptom #1: If a TPO is in progress and you turn the point on (or off), the TPO will only temporarily stop; the TPO will start again if you then turn the point off (or on). For example, if you turned the output off in order to stop the TPO, then if you turn the output on, the TPO will start running again.
  • Symptom #2: If you change the TPO settings while the TPO is running, the changes will not take effect until you stop and start the TPO.

Workaround:

For symptom #1, turn the point off (or on) and then set the TPO period to zero or the TPO percent to zero.

For symptom #2, before changing a TPO parameter, turn the channel off or on to cancel the TPO.
