Store strategy to flash may store strategy to wrong location

Applies To:

Firmware for GRV-EPIC-PR1

Versions Affected:

1.0.0 through 1.2.1

Resolved In Version:

1.2.2

Symptoms:

If your PAC Control strategy uses a Communication Handle to access a file on the GRV-EPIC-PR1 file system in a location other than the EPIC's default private location (/filename.extension) and if you store that strategy to flash, then after running the strategy, the next time you download your strategy and store it to flash, it will be stored to the location last used by the Communication Handle. Because of this, it will not overwrite the strategy previously stored to flash. If you then reboot your GRV-EPIC-PR1 processor, it will load the PAC Control strategy that was originally stored to flash instead of the version that you most recently stored to flash.

Workaround:

  1. In PAC Control or PAC Terminal, inspect the controller and clear the AutoRun flag.
  2. In PAC Control, go to Configure mode.
  3. On your groov EPIC processor, from the Home page, click or tap Control Engine, then click or tap on Disable to disable the control engine.
  4. When groov Manage indicates that the control engine has been disabled, enable it again.
  5. In PAC Control, download the modified strategy.
  6. If the strategy is not already configured to store the strategy to flash and set the AutoRun flag, then manually store the strategy to flash and set the AutoRun flag.
