CODESYS error during download: 1 unresolved reference

Symptoms:

In CODESYS Development System, when you add a data source (through the Data Sources Manager) to your application, and then download your application, you get the following messages:

unresolved reference(s), 0 signature mismatch(es), 0 version mismatches found!

This is because the device version on the hardware differs from the device version in the project.

Workaround:

In your CODESYS application, disable calls to the unavailable function by specifying the DS_LOG_WITHOUT_PRINTF compiler define:

In CODESYS Development System, right-click your application.
Select Properties.
Click the Build tab.
Type in DS_LOG_WITHOUT_PRINTF in the Compiler Defines field.
Click OK.

Resolution:
