In Build mode, modules don't appear in correct slot if GRV-CSERI-4 module is on the chassis

Applies To:

groov View on:

  • GRV-EPIC-PR1
  • GROOV-AR1, GROOV-AR1-BASE, GROOV-AR1-SNAP
  • GROOV-SVR-WIN, GROOV-SVR-WIN-BASE, GROOV-SVR-WIN-SNAP
  • GROOV-AT1, GROOV-AT1-SNAP

Versions Affected:

4.1a to 4.1c

Resolved In Version:

4.1d

Symptoms:

With the following circumstances, some groov I/O modules appear in the incorrect slot position in the Module tree:

  • There is at least one GRV-CSERI-4 module on the groov EPIC chassis.
  • That chassis is an Opto 22 I/O unit in your groov View project.
  • In Build mode, on the Gadgette Palette, you expand the Modules tree for that groov I/O unit.
groov Build ignores all GRV-CSERI-4 modules and shifts all other modules to fill in those positions.

Workaround:

No workaround for viewing the correct module configuration in groov Build. However, in groov View, to access the I/O points on the misplaced modules:

  1. Create User Configured tags for the I/O points in the PAC Control strategy. You will need to know or calculate the Destination Offset of the I/O point.
  2. When you create a gadgette, use the tags in the User Configured tree.

Resolution:
