Open Outgoing Communication returns -87 error

Symptoms:

In a PAC Control strategy, when you use the Open Outgoing Communication command with a communication handle configured with Format 2 syntax, you'll see a -87 error on the Open Communication Handle command. (An example of Format 2 syntax: ser:port=0,baud=115200,data=8,parity=n,stop=1,rts-cts=0. You can learn more about Format 1 and Format 2 syntax in "Creating a communication handle for serial devices" in PAC Control User's Guide, form 1700.)

Workaround:

Configure the Communication Handle using the Format 1 syntax (see "Creating a communication handle for serial devices" in PAC Control User's Guide, form 1700). An example of Format 1 syntax: ser:0,115200,n,8,1

Resolution:
