Send Communication Handle Command Fails (-52 error) When Ethernet Cable Unplugged

Symptoms:

When using an ftp communication handle in your PAC Control strategy with the command “Send Communication Handle Command”, it will fail with a -52 error under the following circumstances:

The Send Communication Handle Command uses the "send:" command.
The “send:” command string uses the IP address of the controller that the strategy is running on (i.e., not using the loopback address of 127.0.0.1).
The Ethernet cable is removed from the controller.

Workaround:

Do either of the following:

Leave the Ethernet cable connected.
Specify the loopback address (127.0.0.1) in the “send:” command string.

Resolution:
