I/O Point Mismatch Errors Generated by Some Discrete Channels on RIO
Applies To:
Firmware for GRV-EPIC-PR1
Versions Affected:
2.0.1
Resolved In Version:
2.0.2
Symptoms:
In PAC Control, if you configure a channel on a GRV-R7-MM1001-10 with any of the following signal types and features, PAC Control may show one or more "I/O point mismatch" errors in the error queue and the I/O configuration may not match the configuration specified in the strategy:
Signal Type |
Features |
DI: 5-30 VDC |
Counter, On-Pulse, Off-Pulse, Frequency, Period, On-Time Totalizer, Off-Time Totalizer |
DI: Switch Input, Powered |
Counter, On-Pulse, Off-Pulse, Frequency, Period, On-Time Totalizer, Off-Time Totalizer |
DO: 5-30 VDC |
TPO |
When you download and run the strategy, PAC Control places an "I/O point mismatch" error in the error queue for each channel whose configuration in the strategy meets the above criteria. The resulting channel configuration may change as follows:
Starting Configuration |
Specified in the Strategy |
Resulting Configuration (as shown in groov Manage) |
- DI: 5 - 30 VDC
- DI: Switch Input, Powered
|
DI: 5 - 30 VDC with any of the indicated features |
DI: 5 - 30 VDC with a feature |
DI: 5 - 30 VDC |
- DI: Switch Input, Powered
- DO: 5-30 VDC with feature
|
DI: 5 - 30 VDC with no feature and "I/O point mismatch" error |
DI: Switch Input, Powered |
- DI: Switch Input, Powered
- DO: 5 - 30 VDC with feature
|
DI: 5 - 30 VDC with no feature and "I/O point mismatch" error |
DO: 5 - 30 VDC |
