Valid GRV-IVI-12 and GRV-IVIRMS-10 channel configurations may not be saved

Applies To:

Firmware for the following groov I/O modules:

  • GRV-IVI-12
  • GRV-IVIRMS-10

Versions Affected:

All versions

Symptoms:

If you have a GRV-IVI-12 or GRV-IVIRMS-10 module installed on the chassis, when you edit channel configurations on the module, valid configurations are saved correctly but reported incorrectly, according to the following tables:

GRV-IVI-12

If you targeted channel... then groov Manage/PAC Control reports the configuration for channel
4 0
5 1
6 2
7 3

GRV-IVIRMS-10

If you targeted channel... then groov Manage/PAC Control reports the configuration for channel
2 0
3 1
4 0
5 1
6 0
7 1

Workaround:

Change the channel type of the channel that groov Manage/PAC Control reports (second column in tables above) to the channel type you want for the target channel, then configure the target channel (first column).

For example, if you want to configure channel 4 of the GRV-IVI-12 module:

  1. Configure channel 0 with the channel type you want for channel 4.
  2. Configure channel 4 with the channel type you want.
  3. Reconfigure channel 0 with the channel type you want for channel 0.

Resolution:

Opto 22 has resolved this issue and will include the fix in an upcoming release.
