Hi in this groov workshop I’ll show you
how to backup and restore your groov project
00:09
on a groov Box. Now that you’ve spent some
time carefully creating pages and user accounts,
00:15
make sure to backup your project! There
are two ways to backup your project on a groov
00:20
Box. The quickest way, which you should do
often, is right here in groov Build, under
00:25
File > Backup Project to Computer. The backup
file is automatically created with all your
00:31
pages and everything in your project, including
your User Accounts. This archive file is automatically
00:38
downloaded to your browser’s default download
location. The other way to do a backup, and
00:44
the only way to restore a project on a groov
Box, is in groov Admin. From groov Build,
00:51
select Configure > groov Admin. Type in the
groov Box Administrator username and password.
01:00
Click Login. Click on System > Backup & Restore.
Here in the Backup tab is the other way you
01:07
can backup your project. You can also backup
all your Ethernet and Wireless settings from
01:14
here. Note that if I do the backup and only
click the groov setting, the backup file created
01:20
is identical to the one that I created earlier
from groov Build. If you configured any network
01:26
settings on your groov Box, its a good idea
to backup those settings with your groov project
01:31
by checking this box. You can even just back
up the network settings on their own. Now
01:37
let’s do a restore. Click on this Restore
tab. Tick the box for groov. I’ll Choose
01:45
a different groov project that I backed-up
up previously, click Open, and then click
01:51
Restore. My groov Box will load the project
and reboot itself. When the green LEDs on
01:58
the Box stop flashing, we’re done and can
use this restored project. So, that’s how
02:05
to backup and restore on a groov Box. For
more help check out groov.com or contact support,
02:12
which is always free. Thanks for watching.
See you soon!
