Here’s a quick tip on how to use our new
spring clamp terminals that are on our newest
00:06
You will want to choose the correct wire and
make sure it is prepared properly.
00:10
Stranded or solid conductors will work as
long as they are between 16 gauge and 24 gauge.
00:15
Anything larger than 16 gauge will not fit,
and anything smaller than 26 gauge could be
00:19
sheared off the weight of the spring.
00:21
Strip your wire's insulation at least One-Eigth
of an inch but not more than Three-Eigth's
00:25
This will ensure that the clamp makes a good
connection with the conductor but it is not
00:28
exposed beyond the terminal guard.
00:30
You’ll insert a small flat head screw driver
into the terminal release slot.
00:35
Pry it down and insert your conductor.
00:40
Now give the wire a light tug to make sure
it is secure and visually verify that the
00:44
insulation is not clamped under the spring
and that and no loose strands of wire are
00:47
sticking out of the sides.
