* With Opto 22 SNAP power supply and SNAP rack
Ideal for access control applications, the SNAP-SCM-W2 serial communication module provides two channels of data input from attached devices that comply with the Wiegand interface format. The module works with analog/digital/serial SNAP PAC controllers and brains, SNAP Ultimate and SNAP Ethernet brains, and SNAP-IT units.
The SNAP-SCM-232, SNAP-SCM-485-422, SNAP-SCM-PROFI, SNAP-SCM-W2, SNAP-SCM-CAN2B, and SNAP-SCM-ST2 serial communication modules are designed for use with the SNAP PAC System and can also be used in standalone SNAP I/O units. Each of these modules conveniently provides serial data at a remote Ethernet location.
This document lists and describes all current Opto 22 SNAP PAC System part numbers, including PAC Project software, SNAP PAC controllers, and SNAP I/O modules of all kinds. SNAP PAC mounting racks and SNAP power supplies are also listed.
This document is a statement of compliance with the EU Directive 2015/863/EU, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS 3). This document lists Opto 22 products that comply with the substance restrictions of the RoHS 3 directive.
This technical note introduces two sample applications for use with SNAP-SCM-W2 (Wiegand) serial modules and SNAP Ultimate I/O: an ioControl strategy that configures modules and handles up to 16 doors, and a utility program for managing user names and entry permissions.
This document is the Manufacturer's Declaration for the listed products as mentioned in the attachment - to which this confirmation refers - that they are in accordance with the mentioned European, international and/or national standards and regulations.
ioDoor Access Manager is a sample utility program for use with SNAP-SCM-W2 serial communication modules. These modules comply with the Security industry Association Access Control Standard Protocol for the 26-bit Wiegand(R) Reader Interface. The utility program, written in Visual Basic, manages user names and entry permissions. It is designed to be used with the sample ioControl strategy Door Control, which is a separate download. This file is freeware. Before you download, read the Legal Agreements.
The Door Control Strategy is a sample ioControl strategy for use with SNAP-SCM-W2 serial communication modules. These modules comply with the Security Industry Association Access Control Standard Protocol for the 26-bit Wiegand(R) Reader Interface. The sample strategy configures modules and handles access for up to 16 doors and up to 4200 users. Also download ioDoorAccessManager, a utility program for managing user data.
